What is ERISA?

The provisions of ERISA fall under the Department of Labor, specifically, Title I, which established fiduciary and other standards for employee benefit plans sponsored by private sector employers.

Most carriers specifically state in their administrative guides that it is the Employers’ responsibility to comply with all provisions of ERISA.
